How We Work
Unique Installation Process
Step 1:
In order to do the job properly, the first thing we
will need to do is to take
down all your old fascia's, sofits, guttering and down pipes from the
roof and dispose
of them safely.
Step 2:
We then need to pull back the first tile all around the roof to expose the rafters.
Step 3:
Once the rafters have been exposed we will then fasten one sprocket onto the end of the rafter (A),
one at the corner, followed by another at the end of the roof (B).

Step 4:
We will then use a string line from A - B so that we can fasten on all the remaining sprockets on
each rafter in between A & B. The method guarantees that the sprockets are all equally spaced
and in a straight line.

Step 5:
At this point we are now ready to fix the sofit board to the sprockets that are now
permanently screwed
on to the rafters. We use two small stainless steel pins with a thread on them which makes it easy
to take a grip on the sofit board.
Step 6:
Now that we have the sofit board firmly fixed to the sprockets that are
permanently fastened to the
rafters, we are ready to place the new fascia board in place. Once again we use A4 stainless steel
marine pins that will never rust or break and will help to
permanently fix your new fascia and sofit
boards to the rafters of your roof.
Step 7:
We now have your new fascia and sofit in place so that the next aspect we need to examine is the
ventilation on your new roofline. Initially we pulled back the first tile all around the roof to expose
the rafters, but we also did this to replace your old roof felt - because there is a very good chance
it has deteriated and needs replacing, so we do this by using a ventilation tray (as pictured above). This
has a number of rolls to play - it will replace your old roof felt - allow air to flow in and around
your roof space - prevent wasps and bees or birds getting into your loft space and it will also prevent
any birds from getting under the roof tiles.
Step 8:
So now that we have the fascia, sofits and ventilation system in place, we
are now ready to place the
guttering on the front of the fascia board - the type of guttering we use is either ogee or squared - it
works out to be 40% deeper than the traditional half round guttering which prevents any blockages and leaks
you may have experienced in the past. Along with the new guttering we also fit matching squared down pipes
in any colour of your choice - mainly white, black or brown.
NOTE:
New Rooflines will provide all the customers with the same high standard products -
installation and
guarantees as the major companies such as fascia mania - but with one small difference - our prices are
significantly lower - but our standards equally as high.
